I just found these things on my bed, they’re kinda creepy, what are they?
Imagine this scene: you enter your bedroom, ready to relax, when you come across strange reddish-brown objects on your bed. You pick them up: small, capsule-shaped, shiny, and unfamiliar. Immediately, a sense of unease comes over you. Are they insect eggs? Strange seeds? Medicines? Or something more serious?
This is exactly what happens in the photo above. Three mysterious reddish-brown objects were found in a person’s palm after being found on a bed. Let’s explore some possible explanations for what these objects could be.
Possible identifications:
1. Capsules (supplements or medicines)
The shape and color resemble common softgels, such as those containing fish oil, vitamin E, or krill oil supplements. They fall out easily and can end up in the sheets unnoticed. If you or someone you know takes supplements, check to see if they might be compatible.
2. Seeds: Less likely, but some seeds, such as pomegranate or date seeds, may have a smooth, dark appearance. However, seeds typically have a more fibrous or opaque texture, unlike the shiny, gelatinous surface seen here.
3. Exuviae or insect droppings?
It’s a common fear: thinking they’re something insect-related. Fortunately, these objects don’t resemble insect eggs, larvae, or droppings. Most insect eggs are white or translucent and irregularly shaped. In this case, the objects are too uniform and smooth to be of animal origin.
