Ingredients:
Half a chayote
Half a teaspoon of turmeric
2 cups of water
The juice of one lemon
Preparation Method:
Prepare the Chayote: Wash the chayote thoroughly. Chop half of it into small, manageable pieces. You can leave the skin on, as it contains beneficial nutrients, but make sure it’s well-washed.
Blend: Add the chopped chayote pieces and half a teaspoon of turmeric to a blender. Pour in two cups of water.
Mix Thoroughly: Blend for a few seconds until the mixture is completely smooth and well-combined. The chayote will break down into a fine, watery consistency.
Strain: Pour the blended mixture through a fine-mesh strainer into a glass. This step is optional, as you can drink it unstrained for extra fiber.
Add Lemon: Squeeze the juice of one whole lemon into the strained liquid. Stir well to combine.
