Hamburger Potato Cheese Casserole

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F).

In a skillet, heat a bit of oil or butter and sauté the onion and garlic until soft.

Add the ground beef and cook until browned. Season with salt, pepper, and any desired herbs or spices. Set aside.

Lightly grease a baking dish. Arrange a layer of thinly sliced potatoes on the bottom.

Add a layer of the cooked beef mixture, then sprinkle with some shredded cheese.

Repeat the layers: potatoes → beef → cheese, finishing with a generous layer of cheese on top.

In a bowl, mix the milk and cream together. Pour evenly over the casserole.

Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 60 minutes.

Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15–20 minutes, or until the top is golden and the potatoes are tender.

Let it rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.

Serving Tips:

Pairs perfectly with a fresh green salad or steamed vegetables.

Can be made ahead and reheated.

For a lighter version, substitute ground turkey or add vegetables like mushrooms or spinach.
