Preheat your oven to 350°F. In a bowl, combine crushed pretzels, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Press the mixture firmly into a greased 9×9-inch baking pan.

In a medium saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar over medium heat. Stir in heavy cream and vanilla, whisking constantly until smooth. Let it bubble for 3–4 minutes, stirring frequently to avoid burning. Pour the hot caramel evenly over the cooled pretzel crust. Let it set for 15–20 minutes before topping with chocolate.

Melt semi-sweet chocolate chips in the microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring between each. Spread the melted chocolate over the cooled caramel layer. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or until fully set.

Once set, remove from the pan using parchment for easy lifting. Slice into bars or squares, and serve!
