Bacon Cheeseburger Meatloaf Recipe

1. Preheat the Oven

Set your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan thoroughly with butter or nonstick spray to prevent sticking.

2. Cook the Bacon
Fry the bacon until crispy, then transfer to a paper towel-lined plate. Once cooled, crumble it into small pieces. This bacon will be folded into the meatloaf mixture for smoky flavor.

3. Prepare the Meatloaf Mixture
In a large mixing bowl, combine:

Ground beef
Crumpled bacon
Shredded cheddar cheese
Bread crumbs
Ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce
Chopped onion and minced garlic
Beaten eggs
Salt and pepper
Mix gently using your hands or a spatula until all ingredients are evenly combined. Avoid overmixing to keep the meatloaf tender.

4. Shape the Meatloaf
Transfer the mixture into the prepared loaf pan, pressing it down lightly to remove air pockets. Smooth the top with a spatula for an even surface.

5. Prepare the Topping

In a small bowl, mix ketchup, mustard, and brown sugar until smooth. Spread evenly over the top of the meatloaf. This topping will caramelize and create a flavorful glaze.

6. Bake the Meatloaf
Bake in the preheated oven for 50–60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C). Halfway through baking, baste the top with the glaze for extra flavor and shine.

7. Rest Before Slicing
Once baked, let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing. This ensures the juices redistribute, keeping each slice moist and flavorful.
